Life is tough without sleep

A visit to the gynaecologist indicated a need for me to perform a cat-like bending exercise to put baby in the right place for delivery as he is not in the ideal place. After just 1 time, I was not able to sleep for that night till the next night and freaking tired but baby is moving all the time making me unable to have quality sleep!

A call to the gynaecologist indicated that it is normal as baby has been forced out of his comfort zone to search for a new landing position thus all the movements. What to do but to hang on!

The route to being a mum is not easy and in fact, I am not there yet!

16 more days to go!

It's so exciting - 16 more days to go to be back home! DH has completed handling over of his work responsibilities today. He is shopping for gifts for his colleagues as they are throwing him a farewell dinner tomorrow. In addition to our baby shower :-)

I perspire easily in this 3rd trimester and cannot sleep till morning. Often woke up at around 4am and then to sleep again around 8am. Talked to Xiao Nan on phone and she said that I have made the right choice to go back to deliver and stay. She is having a difficult time taking care of her newly born baby boy alone as her DH needs to work. They had 2 huge quarrels over taking care of baby matters. Gosh! hope this will not happen between me and DH since we are having a nanny to help plus in-laws.

There will be a typhoon hitting Tokyo at 3am tonight. Liz and Christine would not be attending tomorrow's yoga class as a result of this typhoon. I have completed 4 times and would thus not be attending anymore. As my tummy gets bigger and heavier, it's hard to travel far.

Arrangements with packers have been settled!

I can't help but notice...

I can't help but notice the similarities between DH and baby boy now in my tummy!

1. BB does not like noisy places. Sensitive to noises.

2. BB does not like curry with coconut.

3. BB does not like oily food stuffs such as the oily beef steak that I had eaten last night!

4. BB likes music.

5. BB likes peace and natural scenary.

6. BB is a boy!

7. BB is active in my tummy.

Shall update again when there is new discoveries! :-)

Japanese okashi in Sugamo

It was a nice introduction by Daphne to this Japanese okashi shop in Sugamo when we met this afternoon for a chat and to pass her the handicrafts. I had choosen a black seasame ice-cream dessert with muchi and kanten. Know better about her and would pass her the slow cooker nearer to the date of our departure.

Today is a special day for May as 13 Aug is her birthday. Oh! She's a LEO
maybe that's why we get along so well.

DH and I had Sendai beef for dinner. However, I guess I am not used to the fats in that piece of beef that I had taken! Got up at 4am feeling funny in the stomach and felt the urge to drink 2 cups of green tea to wash away the oily feeling. DH did not have such a problem.

I have not been walking for a week as afraid of over-stretching myself. But I would walk at least 3 times a week again or swim. Need some exercise!

Fruits in a basket

It's another usual working morning. But something unusual is what's lying on the breakfast table! DH has declared openly that he wishes to have a fruit-based breakfast. Guess indirectly hinting that he is sick of bread, though the breads come in many flavours.

So wildlo! this morning, there are many types of fruits on the table - banana, pear, apple, golden kiwi and oranges.

It's 11 days'countdown to his last working day and we are counting everyday!

Today, I aim to complete the koi handicraft as tomorrow I will be meeting Janice at Sakurahoriki to do the touch-ups. Looking forward to the soba noodles which I missed last Sunday as it was closed.

I will also complete the 2 handicrafts that are meant for Daphne so that I can pass them to her as soon as possible :-)

Hanabi in Itabashi

It's Hanabi in Itabashi but I cannot go as DH is far away in Phuket for a business seminar and he feels it's too dangerous for me to go alone due to the inevitable crowds.

Late morning till afternoon, I was with Selina for great pizza and then baby yogurt. We talked for a long time as it could be our last time meeting in SG. She is interested to visit SG with her husband as she loves food.

DH did call me last evening while I was online chatting with May. He's fine and Zaireen was kind to lend him her 3G phone for him to call him. I think he really needs a 3G phone in his next job as he will have frequent short business trips. It will be more convenient to have one.

I took photos of the pens that are so lovely to look at for May. I think she will love them since she is a pen collector.

16 Days' countdown

16 days countdown to DH's last day at work and I couldn't wait! It's like he will be coming back only around 11.30pm from work so it would an end to such days! But in future job, there are days when I could not see him due to short business trips. So, it adds to the same. Most importantly, I keep myself occupied and have friend with activities around myself. With baby boy coming, I would be busier too :-)
Friends of us are organising farewell parties for us:-) It's wonderful to be able to leave Japan with such nice memories.
