A simple discovery!

Food no longer taste much like food to me since I got pregnant. Through FF, I learnt about making sandwiches with slices of tomatoes, cucumber, salad with cheese but I replaced it with dressing. Yummy!! it suits my pregnant taste buds very well. I am so so happy with this simple discovery. Eating is agonising otherwise as I cannot pile on too much weight yet must eat healthily. Hope this recipe last me for long.

Got stuck in MacDonald's due to the rain after shopping today. Sat there for nearly 2 hours reading children Japanese books. DH wants to eat home tonight so it was necessary to replenish the fridge.

Dad had called yesterday and we talked for pretty long.

1st doc appointment

9 April 2005. First doc's appointment. I was a little excited as well as anxious to know if baby is fine with heartbeat and everything. After an ultrasound scan, grateful that all is well. Feel much pacified.

We went to Asukayama Koen the next day for the last Hanami, probably our last here. It was a great excursion. The sakuras were really beautiful and came in varieties. Nice talk with dh. We are settled about our going back decision early next year. I hope to get a part-time job too when I go back, something that I can cope with. Feels good that finally there is a decision.

Not a happy day

Today's not a happy day as DH's candidate rejected his client's offer. It is a long awaited deal and never expect this sudden change in mind. I have a dinner appointment with Izumi and friends. But I feel the need to keep DH company tonight so meeting him after that. I would just get a drink. I have to get away early.

We had gone for Hanami last evening. Enjoyed our probably last Hanami here. Had waited for 1.5 hours in the garden to ensure a place till DH came. In that span of time, changed 3 places!

We are counting down to Oct. It's going to be another new chapter in our lives.

New twist

Life with dad can be quite chaotic. He changed his mind about going to Okinawa again. But he will go 2 weeks after he leaves Osaka. I will accompany them to a resort for 2 days at least. GK thinks too that it will be such a pity if they were just there merely to view DFS. So, I would research again on which hotel to stay in Okinawa. The price would be so much cheaper then.

Had mala steamboat with Aya and GK last evening. We enjoyed the dinner and talked throughout dinner. Aya and Ryoko will be moving into their individual apartments after their housing contract ends this year.

1st April Fool's Day

When Dad called me to say that he needed to go to Okinawa after all, I thought it was an April Fool's Day joke. Their air tickets have all been booked.

A quick check with GK revealed that he has not paid for the shinkasen ticket back to Tokyo yet so I can still decide to go Okinawa.

If the tickets aren't too exorbitant, I would not mind accompanying them to Okinawa and then fly to Tokyo from there. I cannot imagine leaving them on their own in Okinawa.

So, it is decided that I will go Okinawa after all.
